We were so, incredibly lucky to have found Jamie and Eric to care for our son. For two and a half years, they treated him (and us!) like family, gave us invaluable parenting advice, and created a warm, nurturing environment that built his confidence and his creativity. We love them so much and are so grateful to them!

I cannot say enough nice things about Building Blocks Daycare. My daughter was with Jamie and Eric for almost a year and we were so grateful for the excellent care they provided. Things I LOVED about the Building Blocks: The intimate setting of the extended Daycare to their home. Small number of kids. Jamie and Eric are the business owners and are also the sole caregivers. I think this is an important distinction as they have an vested interest in how it is run, compared with larger daycare that have hired help. The socialization of our daughter had a positive impact on her confidence with other kids. Jamie and Eric are incredibly thoughtful and caring individuals. They communicated necessities and checked in with us on all things. Our daughter was visibly happy to be there! They take a ton of pictures and I appreciate the daily log of food, sleep and diapers. I would highly recommend this daycare. You will not regret it!

Wow how time flies! My daughter is already 14 years old now. While looking back through her baby book the other day, I saw all the wonderful crafts and pictures Jamie and Eric shared with us during our few short years at their daycare. I recalled what a wonderful daycare experience that was for us. As luck would have it, I ran into them the other day at the baseball field. I was reminded what admirable and caring people they both are, and I was pleased to hear they are still doing daycare. I don't think it was possible to provide web reviews back then, so I wanted to take this opportunity to say how thankful my husband and I were to of met the two of you all those years ago. Thinking back, I vividly remember what a blessing you guys were to our family at the time. And it makes me happy to know that the two of you are still there supporting budding families just like ours.

I had just moved to the area when I decided to look for childcare for my two and a half year old daughter so that she would have some social interaction two days a week with other children. What I got was so much more! Jamie and Eric, the owners of Building Blocks Home Daycare, are so amazing with the kids. They provide a nurturing and loving environment with a curriculum fit to prepare my child for preschool and beyond. My daughter's class is small, 6 kids or so, which gives her the attention she needs. But what impresses me most is that everytime I drop off or pick up, Jamie and Eric are always on the kids' level reading a book, playing with legos, or helping to solving a problem. Knowing my daughter can't wait to go to preschool every week puts my mind at ease with the choice I made to send her to Building Blocks Home Daycare.

"I love you to the moon and back" is something my wife and I get to hear every night but our son didn't learn it from us. It was one of the many phrases he's learned during his time with the Watson Family. It's a perfect example of the love and care he recieved at Building Blocks Home Daycare. Jamie and Eric not only taught our son cool things like the names of the continents and letters of the alphabet, but also helped us as first-time parents. They've been there through all of our major "firsts" like words, birthdays, and big boy underwear. We knew we were lucky when we found them after having to leave another daycare and they welcomed us in like family. We highly recommend Jamie and Eric and are grateful for the last 2 1/2 years.

We absolutely LOVE the Watsons and couldn't be happier with the high quality of childcare they provide to our son on a daily basis. They came highly recommended by a friend at work and they managed to exceed all our expectations. Each morning my son is greeted with smiles & welcoming hugs, and each evening is sent home with a new art project or special treat, & memories of a fun filled day. He looks forward to spending time with Jamie & Eric as well as all the other children, and loves to tell me stories about his day. When we recently suffered a devastating personal loss, Jamie & Eric were extremely supportive and kept our son after hours so that our family could remain at the hospital with us. They are wonderful people and wonderful daycare providers and we couldn't be happier that they've become part of our extended family.

We used the Watson's daycare for over 2 years for our daughter and are extremely pleased with our experience. Jamie and Eric's patience and skill with kids is truly amazing and I was always impressed with the clean, neat, calm (and happy, laid back) environment they were somehow able to maintain. Our daughter learned her abc's, numbers and how to to write her name by age three, all of which I attribute to Jamie's hard work. I also honestly attribute our daughter's perfect manners to Jamie. I very much thank the Watson's for their great care and the peace of mind they gave me, knowing that our daughter was in a safe place and having a great time. If you can't tell, I highly recommend this daycare!

Jamie and Eric watched our daughter for over three years. Each morning we were met with warm smiles and pleasant conversation. Each afternoon we left with more of the same. Admittedly, our expectations were high (being it was our one and only), and Jamie and Eric never failed to impress. More importantly, they each went out of their way everyday to make our daughter feel welcome and happy. They enjoy what they do and it shows. Quite frankly, I can only imagine how demanding it would be to care for many children all day. Jamie and Eric's patients was truly impressive and unwavering. It is clear they are both doing the job that they were intended to do. Building Blocks Home Daycare is a place I can without reservation and whole heartily recommend.

Best day care! I have the most well adjusted, sweet loving daughter and I owe it all to Jamie and Eric. My daughter looked forward to going every day and loved all the activities. Jamie and Eric keep the daycare clean and organized which has taught my daughter to keep things tidy as well. I would absolutely recommend this daycare. Jamie and Eric go out of there way to create the best environment for children and give parents peace of mind while they are at work all day. Note to all readers....Jamie and Eric cared for my daughter from 2007 through 2010. In 2010 I moved and became pregnant with child number 2 and became a stay at home mommy. I remain friends with Jamie and Eric to this day because they are good people and played such a significant role in my daughters life.

Our family has been with Jamie and Eric for the last 2.5 years. They provide a clean, caring, safe and nurturing environment for our two girls. Jamie and Eric have become a second family to us and we are so thankful that our daughter has found a place to blossom. Jamie works very hard to provide a balance of fun outside activities, crafts and consistent preschool curriculum. It was the perfect learning and nurturing environtment for my youngest daughter. She is now 4.5 and ready for preschool, but we will miss seeing Jamie and Eric and their children each day! We are very thankful to have found them!

The Watsons have the best home day care in Carlsbad! Not only are they kind and loving, but spend a lot of their personal time and money to make sure their daycare is always up to date in education, nutrition and fun!. I've known them for more than 5 years and have only shown to be top quality individuals with the highest in morals and value system. They helped me and my wife with our older daughter and she still has very fond memories of them and the time she spent with them. They offer nothing but the best to the kids they care for.

I have known Jamie for many years and she is an excellent caregiver as well as a very lovely person. She did wonders with my little Kiersty and Antonia. They blossomed under her guidance and support. Jamie was definitely a strong presence in their early years which is a very crucial time in development for a child. I felt very secure in leaving them in her care. They thrived in an environment which challenged and engaged them thoroughly. We were very fortunate to have found such a person who essentially had a part in raising our babies. I highly recommend her services.

Jamie and Eric, the owners, are two of the nicest people I've ever come across. I had the honor of first meeting Jamie when we worked together at a pre-school over 12 years ago. I could tell instantly that Jamie had a heart for kids! Through the years we've kept in touch and when she told me her and her husband we're opening their own day care I was thrilled beyond belief!! To know that I would have somewhere to take my kids and KNOW they would always be safe & loved was beyond comforting. You can tell that they love what they do and they love these kids! You really couldn't ask for a better place or better people to have such a huge part in your child's life! Thank you Jamie and Eric for taking such great care of our daughter. It's great knowing she looks forward to seeing you guys every day! You are a blessing in our lives!

Jamie helped me raise my kids, I couldn' t have done it with out her. She treated them as if they were her own and she is still considered part of our family. You couldn't ask for a better place to take your kids if you have to be away from them.

This daycare literally saved our sanity! We moved to Carlsbad from Iowa and, after interviewing with several daycares, were at a loss. We thought we were never going to find a place that met with our midwest quality of care. Then one day we happened onto Building Blocks. After one quick interview we knew we had found the place. Jamie and Eric had an obvious love and affection for children and our daughter, Kori, felt comfortable right away. We were with Building Blocks for 2.5 years and were thrilled with all the fun, love and care they gave my child. They communicated with us so well and treated our child like their own, to the point some days we had to drag Kori out at night! At the end of our time in California, we would have liked nothing better than to bring Jamie and Eric back to Iowa with us. They gave us the comfort of knowing our child was in a protected, trusted atmosphere while we were at work. We miss them more than they know!

Jamie and Eric are awesome daycare providers and I was thrilled I found them. Jamie is loving and nurturing and my daughter was so happy to see her in the mornings. The bonus I got from Building Blocks was Eric. My daughter lacks a strong male influence in her life, and Eric took her under his wing and gave her just that. I admit I was a bit nervous at first as a male day care provider is out of the usual, but I couldn't have been more thrilled. They have a strong family unit and the protection and security they gave my daughter was more than I could have asked for. The children there always seem happy and settled and I saw that from the very beginning. Their rates are comparable if not better than most in the area. Their structure and curriculum offered gave her the preparation she needed to enter Kindergarten. I would strongly recommend Building Blocks to anyone!
